Sinanju

Around the middle of July I was contacted by Rhyan from Hobbyco in Sydney, asking me if I could help out with the planned diorama for the upcoming GBWC 2013 by building a HGUC Sinanju. I jumped at the chance, and thankfully had one sitting in my pile of shame ready to build.
Since the time frame was tight (3 weeks), OOB was the only thing I could really do due to time constraints and a busy work and family life, so I began building that evening after being asked. The kit went together very easily and it is an impressive kit.
Painting was pretty straight forward. I decided to use Mr Hobby 'Red Madder' for the red parts and ended up using 3 bottles just trying to get an even coat. The trims were done with the reverse wash technique usign Mr Metal Brass as the trim colour and Tamiya enamel black as the inner colour. The joints, hands and piping was done with Mr Hobby 'Red Steel' and the propellant tanks with Mr Hobby 'White'.
I didn't get time to do a panel line wash or decals, but I don't think it really hurt the look of the kit.
All up, a nice and quick build of an excellent kit.
