'Salvage' (RG ZETA)

I recently scrapped a Real Grade Zeta to use parts of it on another project I am working on. When I was done with that, I had half of the Zeta left over and instead of wasting it, I decided to throw together a little fun build using the parts to make a salavage scene.

I began by taking what I had left over and damaging it further using a Rotary Tool and the hobby knife. Once that was done, I added some frayed wires to the torso and left arm to look like those missing parts had been torn off. At this point, I decided not to repaint the whole kit since the colours are reasonable OOB, so I then went ahead and hand painted the details inside the damaged areas like the bare metal etc.

The base was made using some styrene to make the trusses and them added to some electronic PCB and then painted appropriately. I used 1/144 Builders Parts Support Crew figures to show the scene better as the AEUG coming in to salavage the damaged Zeta. Everything was attached to the base and then given a final coat of flat clear to take the shine off it all.

All in all, it was a fun little build that was quite relaxing compared to other recent builds I have completed and the best use for the Real Grade Zeta in my opinion (it is a rather crap kit after all).
